Dive into the exciting world of printmaking on this hands on five week course, designed to introduce you to a range of creative print processes in a fun, supportive studio environment. Across the course, you’ll experiment with mark-making, texture, layering, colour, and composition while learning how to use professional printmaking equipment at Leeds Print Workshop.
You’ll explore a variety of techniques and produce your own unique collection of prints using specialist tools, inks, and presses.

During the course you will explore:

Monoprinting – Create vibrant prints using oil-based relief inks, paper stencils, layering techniques, and our studio presses to produce expressive multi-coloured images.

Collograph – Build textured printing plates using collage materials and tapes, then ink and print your designs to create rich and surprising results full of depth and character.

Drypoint – Experiment with direct mark-making by scratching into a printing plate using specialist tools before printing your etched designs through the press.

Linocut – Learn the fundamentals of relief printing as you safely carve and print your own single colour linocut designs using professional tools, rollers, presses, barens, and burnishers.

Throughout the course, you’ll gain confidence using a range of printmaking equipment and techniques, with all materials and equipment provided.
