The first movement of Percy Whitlock’s sonata makes a powerful and expressive finale to this concert presenting music of reflection and resistance to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. Also featured is Fela Sowande’s impassioned setting of Go Down, Moses and Gerald Finzi’s beautiful Eclogue, originally written for piano and strings.
