Students from the final year of the Jazz Course at the Leeds Conservatoire 2026 have a chance to play their final recital pieces in front of our live JazzLeeds audience.

After three years exploring global sounds and cultural influences that have shaped and continue to shape jazz music let’s enjoy what they have found. Each will band plays one set with an interval between bands. We love to support the young students from Leeds Conservatoire each year. Come and see these stars of the future!

The Jack Preston quartet is a group of young upcoming jazz musicians playing music inspired by the great composer and saxophonist Chris Potter and his Quartet. The Quartet infuses modern and straight ahead jazz with complex arrangements. Jack Preston has appeared for us at Seven Arts before – as part of the superb Doncaster Youth Jazz Association Alumni Big band
