Northern Irish folk singer Cara Dillon brings her annual "Upon A Winter’s Night" tour to the Howard Assembly Room, featuring a selection of traditional and contemporary songs for the festive season.

Since her 2001 debut, which earned two BBC Folk Awards, Dillon has established herself as a significant voice in British and Irish folk music. Her work is noted for a clear, expressive vocal style that bridges the gap between ancient traditional carols and original, modern material.

Accompanied by a band that blends Celtic rhythms with acoustic instrumentation, this performance explores the storytelling and atmosphere of midwinter.
