Blossom & Beau: Macy’s Makeup Masterclass is a purpose driven fundraising event created by us, Behind The Bloom, to bring women together through beauty, wellbeing, and community while supporting a meaningful cause. Taking place at Lazy Lounge Leeds, we have designed this event to create a safe, welcoming, and empowering space where women can relax, connect, and build confidence.

The event will be led by professional makeup artist Macy Varnham, who brings over 10 years of industry experience. Through a live, interactive masterclass, we aim to show attendees how to achieve a polished, professional makeup look using affordable and accessible products, showcasing that a high quality, professional finish can be achieved without the need for expensive brands. By doing this, we hope to make beauty feel more inclusive and achievable for everyone.

Alongside the masterclass, we have carefully curated the experience so guests can enjoy a welcome drink, brunch style food, and a goody bag. We want the atmosphere to feel relaxed and supportive, giving everyone the opportunity to network, unwind, and connect with like minded women.

For us, this event is about more than beauty. All funds raised will support Be More Dandelion, a charity that helps women who have survived domestic abuse through movement therapy. Their work focuses on rebuilding confidence, supporting healing, and empowering women to move forward in their recovery journey.

As a student led events team from Leeds Beckett University, we are passionate about using our platform to create something that has a real and lasting impact. Blossom & Beau represents not only our work as students, but our commitment to creating an event that empowers, supports, and brings people together.
