‘Bend and Break’ invites you to experience the creative voices of 10 MA Fine Art students from the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.
The show is a platform for conversation, showcasing a dynamic range of artistic approaches and thought-provoking research themes.
This vibrant exhibition explores how materials respond to tension and endurance, focusing on repetitive, tiring, limited and unclear process-based practices and structures.
‘Bend and Break’ brings together the group’s unique yet connected studio practices, which move between adaptation and resistance, ongoing questioning and constant self-reflection.
“As independent researchers and collectively engaged, studio-based, art practitioners, we continually seek to transcend limitations and the present moment, defining our own perspectives and boundaries.
Through its collection of multimedia, experimental and narrative-driven individual works, this exhibition challenges conventional approaches to medium and narrative, establishing itself as a significant collective force in contemporary art.
Join the artists for a Private View on 20 February from 5 to 7pm. All welcome!
