In this event, queer writer Izabella Scott discusses her new book The Bed Trick: Sex and Deception on Trial, opening a careful and considered conversation around queer lives shaped by scrutiny, policing and the law. Following a set of queer sex offence trials that took place in Chester and Manchester in 2015 and 2017, Scott explores how the law defines sexuality, and how these definitions shape the possibilities of queer life.
