100% Digital Leeds

Join Aspire CBS for an exciting online rock and roll themed bingo session which is being held as part of 100% Digital Leeds’s Arts in Care Digital Programme, to celebrate National Day of Arts in Care Homes

Held live over Zoom, we will play a line and a full house and when your bingo card is full, unmute and shout Bingo! as loud as you can. There are 20 songs on each bingo card - when you have booked onto this session you will be sent bingo cards to download and print (single-sided).

Cameras don't need to be on during the Zoom session but it’s always good to be able to see the reactions of participants and staff! After a chat at the beginning of the session participants can remain muted until they need to shout BINGO! Please type your care setting name into Zoom when you join so that we know where you're from.

This event is being held as part of the Arts in Care Digital Programme run by 100% Digital Leeds.  For any more information email jennifer.rhodes@leeds.gov.uk

100% Digital Leeds
The 100% Digital Leeds programme is led by the digital inclusion team in Leeds City Council. We work with partners across the city in many different settings – third sector, public sector, health and care – to strengthen digital inclusion infrastructure in communities to increase access, engagement and participation.

The 100% Digital Leeds team are leading the Arts in Care Digital Programme as a way to further understand barriers the care sector faces when engaging with digital and to explore what cross-sector support the team can offer at a strategic local authority level. Arts and creativity can motivate care residents to build their digital skills and confidence, leading to future engagement with digital learning. This can result in increased wellbeing outcomes through using digital to enable increased social interaction, engagement with the wider world, and the ability to access information and to make decisions about their own care.

Aspire CBS
Aspire Community Benefit Society,  are a staff-owned, not for profit, social enterprise with charitable status. We provide care and support for adults with learning disabilities across our supporting living, respite and day services. People we support have a wide range of additional needs including physical disabilities, complex needs, sensory impairments and autistic spectrum disorders. Always working at the highest possible standard of care and supporting individuals how they wish to be supported. My name is Becci and I am your Rock & Roll Bingo host, I also run other online activities, like customer meetings to tell everyone what is happening in Aspire. Alongside this, my main role is teaching performing arts, I have 4 groups and we work towards performances all year round, my groups include everyone, it is all about seeing somebody’s ability and not their disability.

National Day of Arts in Care Homes
The National Day of Arts in Care Homes is an annual event that takes place on 24 September. The aim is to champion, promote and encourage arts engagement in care settings and highlight the health and wellbeing benefits for all involved. Care settings and arts partners can take part by organising an arts activity, big or small, involving any art-form. You could maybe use this as an opportunity to try something new, learning skills and enjoying being creative together
