Come celebrate from 6pm the 80th Anniversary of the Legend Bob Marley at the historical city of Leeds who in the 1970s came to Leeds Polytechnic (Leeds University) to a sell out crowd.

Years on the city still celebrates the blessings from concerts in 2024 Legend Tour @02 Academy Leeds, sell out at Leeds Grand Theatre and LCC Millennium Square summer series.

The Chapeltown Community welcome its Windrush Migrants from the 1950s and home to Jamaica House, Heritage England,  conservation heritage site and home to the first West Indian Carnival, the legacy of the people, diverse community lives on as we have NSCD, RJC Dance (30years) and the birth home of Pheonix Dance Theatre. Political activist Darcus Howe opened up the Mandela Centre and as we are twinned with South Africa we hosted Mandela.

Join us on this 'one off' global occasion of celebrating the music of "Robert Nesta Marley" and his 80th Anniversary of his global works.

The event will have arts and crafts for the children and a family Reggae quiz, whilst bring your song along for chance to be played on the track playlist for the evening. 

6-9.30pm welcoming families and event will go on til midnight at the fully licensed bar (ID required)

The community are coming together to celebrate This unique spiritual event as we look at the crest moon and the astrology of the planets, with the city sky views of Yorkshires tallest building.
