This autumn the JazzLeeds evening season offers a chance to see some of the best acts from the international and UK jazz scenes. 

There is a distinctly American feel – with legendary improv saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock and drummer Tom Rainey, a return of popular Joel Frahm with his trio as well as New York based  sax player Will Vinson teaming up with UK guitarist Tom Ollendorff. From Switzerland, drummer Florian Arbenz brings rising star singer Immy Churchill and renowned musicians Percy Pursglove, Jim Hart, Ivo Neame to be part of his “Conversation Quintet”. Young vocalist Emily Masser debuts at Seven Arts with her quintet that also features her dad, Dean Masser on saxophone. From Liverpool, Jazzleeds present Ni Maxine, an award-winning ‘Neo-Jazz singer on everybody’s lips’ (JazzFM).

To round off the series at Christmas , Jeremy Sassoon’s tribute to Ray Charles and the Giants of Soul will capture the imagination of jazz, blues and soul audiences alike.
