Light Night Leeds will take over the city on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th October 2024, showcasing spectacular projections, interactive installations, and absorbing street art to 200,000 visitors as part of the UK’s largest light festival. We want you to be part of our team for the 20th edition of Light Night Leeds this year.

Visitor Support Volunteer
You will be the face of Light Night, welcoming our visitors, supporting them to engage with artworks and providing information and directions to other artworks across the city. Based in a specific zone that covers multiple artworks, you’ll experience a variety of brilliant installations and performances. Your energy and enthusiasm will create an extraordinary experience for visitors of all ages.

Photography / Videography Volunteer
You’ll capture the event to share with the world, using your skills to photograph or video the atmosphere of Light Night as visitors experience the artworks. Supported by a professional photographer, you will help create visual content that will be used to share the experience with our online audience. Please note: Photography / videography volunteer roles are limited, so we cannot guarantee a placement.

Event Support Volunteer
You’ll assist in event preparations to ensure everything runs smoothly on the night. You’ll be supporting the production team to set up the staff and volunteer hub, distributing accreditation and putting up signage, amongst other preparatory tasks. Join us in the week leading up to the festival and get stuck into a range of tasks as final preparations bring the event to life.

Digital Content Creator Volunteer
You’ll capture content to promote the festival as it’s happening, using your skills to photograph or video the atmosphere of Light Night for use on our social media channels. Working with our Communications team, you’ll use your phone to capture visual content for our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts to share the experience with our online audience in real time. Please note: Digital Content Creator volunteer roles are limited, so we cannot guarantee a placement.
